Jim lives in Alton Village and is a father of three children. As such he knows the daily juggling act of raising a family, working and finding quality family time.
Jim was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario and after high school graduation he attended York University to study Commerce. Jim is currently enrolled at University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business.
For the past 32 years Jim has been actively involved in the Real Estate Industry and has experience in land assembly, residential appraisals and residential and commercial sales. Prior to settling in Burlington, Jim owned his own franchised real estate office. He is still an active fee appraiser and is a candidate member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. In addition Jim is a licensed Real Estate Broker with his office located in on Walkers Line in Ward 6.
While his children are his main priority in life, Jim claims "hockey is a distant second". To that end he is an active participant in the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club.
Jim has been involved in politics since as long as he can remember. As a child he recalls delivering flyers and painting signs for sitting MPPs and MPs. Jim kept that passion and has held several elected positions in both the provincial and federal parties including his stint as a 4 time riding president. He has a vast knowledge of campaigns and has run or been active on campaigns at all levels of government. He is certainly no stranger to the political arena.
If Jim has the privilege of being elected on October 27th he plans on being a FULL TIME COUNCILLOR and he will be available 24/7 for his constituents.
